Jakarta (ANTARA) – ASEAN Secretary General Kao Kim Hourn and ASEAN Deputy Secretary General Ekkaphab Phanthavong together with a number of other officials from ASEAN and representatives of ASEAN member countries tried out riding the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) on Monday (25/9).
This was done at the invitation of the Chinese Ambassador to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Hou Yangi and the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Indonesia to ASEAN Derry Aman.
Kao Kim Hourn and the passengers expressed satisfaction and felt comfortable while trying out the fast train.
He was impressed by the speed of the fast train.
He also stated that Belt and Road cooperation really brings real benefits to ASEAN countries.
ASEAN hopes to increase cooperation with China so as to bring more benefits to the people of the region.
The round trip between Halim Station and Tegalluar Station was also attended by representatives from ASEAN partner countries.
During the trip, staff from PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) explained matters related to the construction and operation of KCJB.
