The gift is a replica of the Statsraad Lemkuhl, Norway’s largest and oldest square-rigged sailing ship that has been modernised to become a world-class maritime research vessel. The miniature also symbolises Norway’s commitment to conducting maritime and marine research, sharing knowledge, and raising awareness about the importance of the ocean for sustainable future, a commitment shared by ASEAN.
